A very popular resort, Platanias is well supplied with popular bars, tavernas and restaurants, as well as two good-sized mini markets and ATMs. A wander away from the main road will take you to lovely tavernas with great views out over the sea.
The beach of Agia Paraskevi is long and sandy, and just a step away. Sunbeds, umbrellas and water sports are all available and there is a beach bar and a snack bar.
The nightlife is very relaxed, but Skiathos Town is just a bus ride away if you have a taste for a livelier night out.
