We are committed to protecting your privacy and take the responsibility over the security of our customers' information very seriously. Please read the following for further details on our Privacy Policy. Here, we’ve outlined where and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, how we keep it secure and how you can access this data and delete it.

In order for you to use our Website and Mobile APP services, contact our service agents or resort partners, we require certain information and your consent in order to comply with new GDPR regulations 25th May 2018.

1. So what information do we collect and how do we use it?

In order to create an account with us, we collect the following information.

A username of your choice, Gender, Your First & last Name, Email address and account password. You can add an image and bio on the APP if you choose.

If you choose to register your holiday on the mobile Apps we capture your holiday dates and resort of travel.

We use this information for the following

To create your user account - We will send you a confirmation email.

An active account allows you to interact with other users, resort vendors and local reps & agents via the live chat function on the mobile apps.

Adding your holiday details – Allows us to filter event information during the time of travel and allows you to interact with others travelling at the same time.

Our local reps may send you, via push notifications, news of events, offers and important resort information during your stay.

NB – At any point you can

Delete your account (app), Turn off notifications or choose to keep your profile private so nobody can see your profile or interact with you.

2. Who do we share it with?

We do not share your information with any 3rd parties at this point. If this policy changes you will be notified by email to request your consent.

Other Websites – There are several places on our website and mobile apps where you can link to other websites or 3rd parties. Once you have clicked through to another site Hang Out Ltd privacy practices no longer apply. You should view individual privacy statements for all 3rd party websites to understand their policies for capturing and disclosing your information.

3. Security and Data Protection Requirements

For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016 which superseded it in May 2018, we are a data controller. In order to process your user account, we need to collect certain personal details from you as detailed in section 1.

We have appropriate security measures in place to protect the personal details you give us. We will not pass any information on to any company and/or organisation without your prior consent.

We are entitled to assume you do not object to our doing any of the things mentioned above unless you tell us otherwise in writing. You are generally entitled to ask us (by letter or email) what details of yours are being held or processed, for what purpose and to whom they may be or have been disclosed. Where you consent, we will obtain information about your general web and app usage by using a cookie file (Called HOOH) which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computers’ hard drive and are used to help improve our website thus delivering a better service with more personalised content. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google AdWords – These are used to collect information about how visitors use our site helping us to analyse performance and improve our service.

Registration User Log in Cookies – These are used to track which visitors are signed in to user profile and settings area of the website and mobile apps in order to not have to enter password on each log in.

By using the Hangout on Holiday website and mobile applications, you consent to the collection and use of this information by Hangout on Holiday in the ways outlined above. Should we change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page to keep you updated of the information we collect, how we use it and in what circumstances we disclose it.

7. Marketing Communications

We don’t currently use your information for marketing purposes. If you choose to receive notifications on the mobile apps, you may get information from resort vendors and partners whilst you are on holiday. You can choose to deactivate these notifications at any time on the APP.

8. Rights of access to your personal information

We only store the minimal possible amount of personal information (outlined in section 1) which is required for you to enjoy the web and app experience. At any time, you have a right to request access to the data we hold about you but - You can access all of this data in the My Account section on the website and mobile APP.

We will store your data until you either delete your account or request that we do.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

This policy is dated 24th May 2018. We may change and improve this from time to time, at which point we will update the policy with the appropriate date.
