Skiathos Taxis are a fleet of large silver saloon cars. There are two main taxi ranks, at the airport and and on the main town promanade (300 metres from the ferry jetty). There are however very few taxis on the island and you can often struggle to get one early evening or on busy airport days where you can sometimes have to wait for 30 to 40 minutes for a taxi
Taxis can be arranged by calling +30 24270 2446 or asking your hotel reception. Please note there is a call out fee which is dependent on how far the driver has to come to collect you but is usually between 3 and 5 euro. Prices increase for early morning or evening journeys and taxis from the airport are higher priced. Always check your price with the driver before commencing your journey although all taxis should be metered.
