Elounda is famous for being a favourite resort of some rich and famous people, including Greek PM's A French President called Mitterrand, when he was alive Gaddafi (obviously) Arab Princes, Russian Oligarchs (whatever that means) film and movie stars alike. It's a pretty sleepy resort and not really for those looking for a party nightlife holiday, more beach and chill out. Elounda also boasts some of the best hotels on the island.
