Pelekas has without doubt one of the best beaches on the whole of Corfu. Beautiful sand sloping gently into the clear blue sea, it's a great family location. If you suffer from vertigo you won't enjoy the journey down the really steep narrow track that takes you down to the beach but it's worth it. (there is parking) There's plenty of bars and restaurants overlooking the beach and you can rent beds, umbrellas and all sorts of other stuff. Up the hill in the old town of Pelekas it does get a bit lively at night-time. It's been a long time popular destination for the Scandinavians.
