A great destination for family beach holidays, set on a quiet headland overlooking the sparkling blue Mediterranean Sea, with all the action and nightlife of Magaluf just a short stroll away.
Torrenova is a small resort that blends almost seamlessly with its very close neighbours, Palma Nova and Magaluf.
Set on the headland of a peninsula in south west Majorca, Torrenova is the quieter of the three resorts, almost sandwiched between the other two, offering a haven for families and those who prefer to stay in a quieter spot, whilst having all the action of the livelier resorts right on the doorstep.
The three resorts practically merge together and it isn't obvious where each one begins and ends, so it is easy to walk between them and you can take your pick of the beaches on either side.
This pretty spot attracts a great number of visitors each summer, many of whom return faithfully year after year, safe in the knowledge that they will have the perfect family holiday, in a friendly, safe setting with a friendly atmosphere. In particular, Torrenova is popular with British tourists and many Brits come here to run a small business or retire in sunnier climes.
The resort is surprisingly pretty, and its location on the headland makes it a sun trap, with the glorious sandy Son Matias beach - soft, sandy and safe. The beach has all the amenities you would expect from a purpose built holiday resort, including life guards and first aid posts, and there are plenty of sunloungers and parasols for hire. Fans of pedaloes and banana boats won't be disappointed either, and there are plenty of opportunities for jetskiiing, snorkelling, scuba diving and boat trips.
Torrenova has plenty of facilities: bars, restaurants and shops line the attractive sea front area, with many British themed establishments offering full English and British food, as well as favourite beers from Britain and Ireland.
The resort's many resturants are friendly and good value, serving everything from fresh local cuisine, fish dishes and seafood to international options and pub grub. The resort has plenty of sports bars with TV showing football matches and other live sports events.
