The coastal town of Villajoyosa is famous for its brightly coloured houses that adorn the Mediterranean shoreline.
This special little town is known as Chocolate city as it is home to some of the finest chocolatiers in Spain and the largest chocolate factory Valor.
You’ll be collected by coach at your chosen start point. Once everyone is onboard, accompanied by an English-speaking representative, you’ll follow the coast road from Benidorm to the town of Villajoyosa.
Once there, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the state of the art Valor chocolate factory that is the largest and oldest chocolate producer in Spain (it cannot be guaranteed that the factory will always be in production).
The tour lasts for an hour and includes a short video on the history of the company and also a tour of the museum.
Of course, you will have the opportunity to sample the chocolate too!
On a Thursday, Villajoyosa plays host to one of the largest open air markets of the Costa Blanca that draws people from far and wide to browse the aisles of clothing, leather goods and fresh foods.
You will have approximately one and a half hours to visit the market.
The representative will confirm the meeting point and time for returning back to Benidorm and Albir.
You’ll arrive back at the hotels around 14:30.
