Mamma Mia Magic

A fantastic opportunity to visit the island of Skopelos, the main filming location for the hit movie 'Mamma Mia' 

We set sail aboard our boat Kalypso at around 10:00am from Skiathos port, cruising on a north-easterly course. 

As we sail along the coastline of Skopelos you will have the chance to see the beautiful south side of the island that appears in many of the off shore boat scenes from the film. The first stop of the day is Kastani, the stunning main beach where the majority of beach scenes such as 'Does your Mother know' and 'Lay all your love on me' were filmed. The famous jetty has sadly been removed but don't miss the chance to swim, sunbathe and take photos on the famous “Mamma Mia” beach.

From Kastani it’s just a 25 minutes hop to the near and beautiful port of Panormos (which briefly appears in a drive by scene with Meryl Streep), in time for lunch at one of the traditional beach tavernas. During the stay here there is the chance to purchase the optional minibus excursion to the famous St Johns Chapel, the iconic wedding chapel from the movie, and where Meryl Streep sings the moving song from the movie, 'The winner takes it all' (Please note there is an additional charge of €12.50 payable on the day, and this optional extra is subject to availability, is weather dependent, and subject to minimum numbers booking)  

From here the last destination of the day and maybe the most beautiful beach in Skopelos called Milia which briefly appears in one of the movies panoramic scenic shots, just the ideal place to conclude the day.

Once back on board enjoy the leisurely cruise back to Skiathos port arriving back on Skiathos 17.00 - 17:30

PLEASE NOTE: This itinerary is weather permitted, and once sailed the the route and stops may be changed by the Captain for safety reasons without prior notice due to rough seas or high winds. No refunds will be issued should this happen. For those guests not staying in Skiathos town there is an additional 4 euro charge per person for the transfer to and from your resort payable at time of booking.

The trip runs every Monday (and also on Thursdays during peak season)
