Capture The Capital

Start your weekend off in style with a trip to the island’s cosmopolitan capital. Head to Argostoli for the chance to browse the selection of boutiques and traditional gift shops. Explore the town and enjoy dinner overlooking the harbour or on the central town square. 

An excellent opportunity for those staying in the resorts of Lourdas, Katelios, Skala and Karavados to enjoy an evening in this bustling main town.

Our coach will pick-up from the resorts of Skala, Katelios and Lourdas starting at approximately 16:00 pm and a leisurely drive will take us into Argostoli, the capital town of Kefalonia. 

Here we will stay for approximately 3 and a half hours. Argostoli is a busy, working town with a pretty harbour front area where luxury yachts can be seen moored alongside traditional fishing boats.

There are a selection of boutiques, jewellers and souvenir shops along the pedestrianised

‘Lithostroto’ street which are open until late in the evening. After exploring the shops, there will be time to enjoy a meal in one of the many tavernas and restaurants or indulge in ice-cream or a refreshing cocktail on the bustling main town square.

At around 21:00pm, we will leave Argostoli for a leisurely drive back to resorts.

Recommendations:

Cameras, spending money and a light jacket/cardigan as it can get cool in the evenings.
