Full Day Trip with Escort

Gramvousa is a stunning, unpopulated islet with beaches of fine sand and pebbles at the far north western tip of Crete.

Cruising close to the peninsula you can see the geological phenomenon of the tilting of Crete, which means it's rising out of the sea in the west and sinking in the eastern part.

After approx. 1 hour we cast anchor at the island of Gramvousa and climb the fortress in a 20-minute walk. The castle towers on top of a sheer rock face of 137 metres.

Enjoy the spectacular view over the deep blue and green waters of the lagoon. The island of

Gramvousa is firmly associated with the struggle for freedom of Crete against the Ottoman occupation.

After a tasty snack on board we continue to our second stop at the “Lagoon of Balos”.

With its pristine sands, reddish shell fragments and crystal-clear warm water...a pure paradise for swimmers.

Late afternoon we return by boat to Kissamos, where the bus will be waiting for us.

A comfortable shoe is advised for those who want to walk up to the fortress. Guests should bring swimming gear and sun protection

Baby trolleys should be carried, not possible to walk around with them due to the uneven terrain. For the same reason not to be advised for guests in wheelchair or with severe walking difficulties.
