Everyday (morning or afternoon) except Mondays & Thursdays.

One of the most recommended excursions on the island!

At the Caves of Drach you will discover one of Mallorca's hidden treasures where you will walk through the magnificent stalagmite and stalactite formations towards the biggest underground lake in Europe, the Lake Martel.

We will collect you from your hotel on an air-conditioned coach and head towards Manacor, in the centre of the island. The first stop will be at the famous pearl factory, where you get the chance to learn about the unique pearl manufacturing process and then you will be able to visit the store and exhibition area.

We then head to the famous Caves of Drach in Porto Cristo.

The Caves of Drach were discovered in the Middle Ages and were explored in 1896 by E.A Martel, who discovered the cave containing the largest underground lake in Europe, which now bears his name Lake Martel.

You will walk through the spectacular stalagmites and stalactites, through the cave which is about 1200 metres. When you reach the bottom you will reach the lake Martel where you will experience a concert of live classical music played by a quartet of musicians playing the cello, the harpsichord and two violins. The concert lasts around 10 minutes. You will then cross the lake by one of the little boats or walk over the bridge if you prefer. The lighting over the lake is reminiscent of a sunrise over the lake.

The tour itself last approximately 1 hour.

The temperature inside the Caves is about 21°C and the humidity 80%

This is a great half day excursion and a chance to visit one of the most famous attractions in Mallorca. You can visit the caves either on our morning trip or our afternoon trip.
