The Playa de Las Alcaravaneras is a golden sandy beach on the East coast of Las Palmas, the golden sand against the pale blue water is a picturesque scene and is great for sun bathing, swimming or snorkeling. There are also lots of water sport companies placed along the coast line so if you fancy trying windsurfing there are plenty of places nearby. However in comparison to Playa de Las Canteras this beach is next to the port so the sea is normally full of boats and shipping's but if you have just gone to sunbathe and have a splash in the sea then it is definitely worth a try. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and kiosks nearby that sell all of the essentials for a day at the beach.
