Four Lycian tombs are at the north entrance of the city that is surrounded by etched stones rampart at 600 meters high from the sea. The tombs are assumed to be built in the 4th century BC. The three of them were like a house but now they are ruined. The 4th tomb is called the tomb of Hector. The south face of the 4th tomb depicts a figure of a man lying on a couch and its north face depicts a figure of a warrior with a spear and shield attacking his enemy. The first structures that are encountered are reckoned to belong to a Dorian style temple and the ruins of a chipped stone-bath have been built by the Roman Emperor Vespasianus at the north entrance of the Acropolis. Although most parts of the seats on the west side of a small theatre present well, its stage is completely demolished. The ruins spreading approximately 9 meters wide and 900 meters in length from west to east at the city centre is believed to be a city Stadium. However the athletics festivals being held in Candianda are mentioned in many of the inscriptions uncovered by the excavations. This idea has been verified thanks to the bases of statues that are assumed to be off successful athletes were uncovered around the Stadium.
