We have been showing our divers the amazing variety of marine life at the number one dive site on the island, the El Cabrón Marine Reserve for over 16 years.  We will take you the short ride to this wonderful dive site from our dive centre nearby in the old fishing town of Arinaga.  The volcanic topography of the area has created some dramatic underwater scenery and you can swim through natural rock arches, and explore the caves and cliffs.

It is regarded by many as the best place to dive in Gran Canaria as it has four of the top ten dives in Gran Canaria, it is the only area where you can easily dive in caverns and caves, and is the only place where divers can regularly see endangered species such as Spiny Pufferfish, Barred Hogfish and Caribbean Soldierfish, as well as angel sharks and five types of ray.  The University of Las Palmas found that there were higher levels and more variety of all species from marine algie and plants at the base of the food chain through vertebrate and invertebrates up to top predators such as angel sharks and rays compared to the South West of Gran Canaria where the fishing industry in Mogan has almost decimated the marine life.

With more to see, we will show you almost the complete spectrum of Canarian underwater life, from small colourful creatures such as nudibranchs, damselfish, cleaner shrimps and seahorses, through amazing creatures such as cuttlefish, stargazer and trumpetfish, to top end species such as barracudas, angel sharks, rays and even the occasional turtle.  You will normally explore the area with most marine life at around 20m, and because of the ‘multi-level’ topography you will get dive times of around  40-45 minutes.  If you are more experienced, we can also explore the area of Punta de la Sal where you can descend to 30m deep.  We always ensure that every day the diving is varied, and when we have very experienced divers we plan and dive some of the more challenging routes.

We have won several awards and been recognised by a variety of different organisations for our commitment to safe and enjoyable excursions and courses.  We won PADI's top award, the PADI Outstanding Achievement award in 2018, and our commitment to excellent customer service also ensured entry into the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame for gaining a Certificate of Excellence every year from 2014 to 2018.   We are the oldest professional dive centre in Arinaga, members of ANETA, the Spanish association of Adventure Sports, and are approved by the Canarian Government with registration number  TA-1-0004981.04.
