Karavamylos Lake is the outlet for the many underground lakes between Argostoli and Sami, which includes Melissani Lake. They are all linked and flow through one another until they reach Karavamylos. Geese, ducks, dragonflies and sea bream call it home. It has a rich blue colour and is where the fresh water meets the sea. There's even an old water mill.
