Another of the well known West Coast beaches Glyfada is probably the most popular and lively beach on this side of Corfu.
Access to the beach is made by following the winding roads down. The area has become very popular due to its natural beauty and gossip says that even Madonna was so impressed with the beach that she offered a large amount of money to buy the beach. Thankfully it was declined meaning that we all get to appreciate the beach and its charming waters.
By day the mile of golden sandy beach invites all to relax on a hired sun lounger, take part in one of the water sports available or stroll along the waters edge. Certain parts of the beach are know to have the more lively beach bars some days even having live concerts with famous Greek singers. There are plenty of eateries from your traditional Greek tavernas serving fresh meats and mouth watering fresh fish dishes and not forgetting many snack bars.
This beach will keep everyone entertained with its array of activities available. A great day can be had on the golden sands but beware as sun sets the atmosphere in Glyfada heats up and actually gets livelier and again remember with its location the sunsets offers the perfect end to the day.
