This Museum was created in the building the great Greek Poet Dionisios Solomos lived during the years 1798 - 1857. Important in Greek history as it was Solomos who wrote the Greek National anthem.
Even though during the 2nd World hid house was badly damaged it has been restored and you will find many original artefacts owned by Solomos. Original manuscripts, writing implements, photos and historic literature such as old editions of the " hymns to the Freedom" can be found on show there.
Today open as a museum it is also still used as the Solomos Study center hoping to giving the students inspiration for their own writing.
