Zante North & West Exploring Spots

If you are getting yourself out and about, visiting our islands hidden gems and seeing the beauty of Zante. A few more places listed below you may want to pop along and see. You may not need long here, you may just want that all important holiday pic however we feel these are places that are worth visiting whilst you are here!

1. Volimes - Take a trip through Volimes. A small village with old charm and stunning scenery. This village is known for its local products such as honey and olive oils. 

2. Anafonitiria - If you like your history this is something for you. The quaint village of Anafonitiria is home to the monastery and has stood on the Zante shores since the 15th century. The monastary is on small grounds and has its own charm, ladies be sure to be appropriately dressed if you want to go inside. Even if you dont plan on spending, have a look through the village where you will see many souvenir stalls and local produce. You will also see this on the Island tour.

3. Exo Hora - Here one of the most traditional spots on the island and a must see. Get a feel of the Greek way of life as you pass by. This village is one of the only places on the island that escaped disruption after the devastating earthquake in 1953. The village is charming with a slow way of life. It is also famous for the old oak tree in the centre, it is over 2000 years old. In the square you will also find the locals selling the local products. 

4. Kiliomenos - the traditional village is the home to Agios Nicholas church. A few shops selling local products and a lovely spot for scenery as you pass through.
