Because the local market Altea has become so popular in recent years it has grown so large that it was decided to divide it into two parts.
The normal market with its numerous stalls that offer clothing, shoes and lots of other stuff can be found in the parking area right behind the towns municipal sports complex.
The food market with all the fresh served products can now be found at the Avenida de la Nucia.
Both parts of the market are connected by Alteas main shopping street, the Avenida Rey Jaime, and are a 5-minute walk apart.
