The Monastery complex sits at the end of the resort, placed on the hill over looking the final bays of Paleokastritsa.
The working monastery dates back to 1228 with additions made in the 18th Century. Monks are still seen going about there daily duties including the work in the traditional olive press. The Monastery is decorated with gold and silver, items given by people thanking the saint for looking after them.
Due to its elevated position it offers breathtaking views
Guests to the Monastery have the chance to purchase items form the shop on the complex.
Ladies are requested to respect Greek Orthodox religion by covering their shoulders and knees.
