Vasiliki is the second resort of Nidri, popular with people on sailing holidays and windsurfers. Due to the geography of the island Vasiliki always has an afternoon breeze. A 1km long beach stretches across the resort and at the far end is the beautiful harbor with its quayside tavernas and coffee bars. There are small small quaint shops selling traditional olive oil, honey and other locally made products. You can catch the boat that takes you to either Porto Katsiki or or little secluded beach of Agios Filli. The local bus service runs from Lefkas town, through Nidri and on to Vasiliki daily. If you have a car you can find many little secluded beaches on the route from Nidri to Vasiliki. Contact me to get some hints and tips on the secret gems in the south east of the island.
