Alonissos Cruise

“PLANITIS”is a wooden sailing boat,the only one of its type on the Sporades islands and it is the boat we use to explore the idyllic Aegean Sea and to swim in its crystal waters.

The tour starts at 10am as you leave Skopelos port and sail around the island of Peristera, which means dove. It is uninhabited island and is situated to the west of Alonissos. The underwater archaeological research has brought to light an old shipwreck along with a series of other archaeological findings revealing that Sporades islands had always been an important sea route since ancient times.There are many caves around the island where the Mediterranean monk seal “monachus-monachus” safely lives.

During your trip you will have the chance to pass by the “Two Brothers” rocky islets and alongside the idyllic seaside of Alonissosyou will arrive to “Leftos Gialos” beach which is another beautiful beach of Alonissos with pebbles,crystal clear waters and beautiful greenery. You will be given enough time to swim and enjoy the sea and sun before a light meal is served on board tasting some Greek food and various salads.

The next stop is Patitiri, the harbor of Alonissos, where you will have approx. 2 hours free to enjoy a drink, visit the Alonissos Museum, swim or have a wander around the back streets before returning to Skopelos at approximately 6 pm
