Barcelona Zoo & Free Time

The departure from resort and road trip will be at 09:00 by motorway to Barcelona, we will arrive at approximately 10.30. From the arrival at the zoo you have 4 hours free time where you can choose what areas and animals interests you the most. The Barcelona Zoo is located in the colourful Ciutadel Park in Barcelona, the location for this zoo was chosen because of the buildings, which became available after the Universal Exhibition of Barcelona in 1888 and these buildings make the zoo a very unique place to visit. The zoo is known for and has three objectives, conservation, research and education. The star of this zoo was Snowflake, the famous and unique albino gorilla until 2003. The zoo today, however, still affords you the chance to observe many rare and endangered species and is ranked amongst the top zoos in Spain. You will love the open enclosures, allowing you to almost touch the animals and there is also an infant zoo where children can be introduced to various animals, as well as a wide selection of other wild life and birds. The zoo offers special displays of reptiles such as iguanas and chameleons and prides itself on its humane facilities and habitats for the wild animals. This is a fun way to spend a day for the all the family. At approximately 15:20 we will arrive at the Maremagnum shopping centre in the beautiful Port Vell where you will have free time to shop, purchase goods, do a little sight seeing, or just spend time relaxing by the boardwalk until and soaking up your experiences of the day until our departure from Barcelona at 17.30
