High up in the Italian Alps and close to the Swiss border, Livigno is the Valtellina valley’s flagship resort and a great destination for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Livigno also has a legendary status for those Apres Ski fans with the party starting from 4pm onwards and the evening has many different bars to choose from depending on your taste. For a quiet sociable drink or a cool Guinness try Daphne's Pub then maybe onto Marco's pub where certain evenings you can find live music. For the nightowls and party animals there is Miky's Disco Pub which also has a slide to get into the venue. Bivio Club is also a lively venue and both are open till around 0300. Livigno is a paradise for food lovers as well with hundreds of restaurants to choose from and caters from the budget pizza places to fine dining such as Bivio Cantina. On the slopes, for the advanced there are some super reds and easy going blacks as well as a huge amount of off piste. Off piste guides are advisable and can be booked in resort. For intermediates you will find a huge array of red runs to keep you satisified for the week. For beginners, the ski schools in Livigno offer superb value for money and all are english speaking.
