About this holiday
28 November 2016 - 29 November 2016 (1 days)
Avoriaz is one of our top 3 ski resorts in all of the Alps - Why? Well first it's a relatively short transfer, It's also really high so usually great conditions. It's ski in ski out which we love, traffic free (apart from drunkenly getting run over by horse drawn sledge, there is no danger) and thus great for kids. The locals are really friendly, there's a good choice of places to eat and drink in town and on the mountains and of course the skiing.
Avoriaz is part of the Port Du Soleil ski area which means its one of the largest in the world with a zillion miles of pistes for all standards. From here you can ski into Morzine and over into Les Gets and also get to ski in another country, Switzerland, where the skiing is a little different - fewer trees but great runs and often quieter. (Keep this a secret - if you having lunch we think the food on the French side is better - just our view of course) 3 things you should do here - Ski The Wall - only for the more advanced skiers, check out The Stash - (the Snow Park) and have lunch in the goat village - top of the Arden ski lift. - It won't take too long before you understand why its in our top 3.
