Q. How do I join?

It takes 1 minute to join – simply go to the homepage and click onto one of the registration buttons.

Q. Isn’t this just another Facebook attempt?

No in our opinion Facebook is for those people you already know, Hang out on Holiday is for those people you OUGHT to know.

Q. So is this an online dating site?

No online dating tends to be of a domestic nature – you tend to go on dates with others in a localized area to your home town. This is for like minded people who want to hook up with others of the same ilk and chill out with them whilst on holiday, usually abroad. It can be used to set up holiday dates, but also for new friendships, drinking partners sporting friends and much more.

Q. What if I don’t know where I’m going yet?

You can still register and select the ‘I don’t know’ option. This will place you in the ‘DEPARTURE LOUNGE’ which is where anyone who hasn’t booked can still interact with and have with others in the same ‘boat’. Once you book your holiday it takes 30 second to update your details.

Q. My Resort/Destination is not listed?

Its almost impossible to list every resort on the planet so we have started with the most popular ones where we know most Brits go to. If you would like a resort added, no problem please email us at info@hangoutonholiday.com Even better if you know the resort well and can provide a brief description and images we are happy to publish them.

Q. Is it safe to interact with other members?

The site is as safe as you want to make it. Other members only see a very brief profile of you, it is entirely between 2 members to decide if they wish to share other details like email address’s and telephone numbers. We recommend you only do this if you are really sure about meeting someone.

Q. I’m getting pestered by someone I don’t want to talk to can you help?
We sure can, simply report them and will issue a warning about future conduct. If they ignore this then we will remove their IP address from our system so they won’t be able to access the site.

The site is designed for cool, like-minded people we hope that all members will deal with each other in a polite and respectful manner. We all understand and enjoy a bit of banter – don’t cross the line of being offensive, this just won’t be tolerated.
